Atlanta Beer Festivals Spring 2012

March 6, 2012 By Kevin Ekmark 3 Comments

Atlanta Beer Festivals Spring 2012One of the best things about the weather warming up in the south is that it’s festival season.  Some of the best festivals revolve around refreshing adult beverages.  The Beer, Bourbon and BBQ Festival kicked things off in Atlanta, and now its time to welcome the next few festivals.  Here are four beer festivals around Atlanta that you won’t want to miss this spring.

Beer Festivals

Brew Your Cask Off – March 10, 2012 – Atlanta, GA:  Cask ale is an extremely unique beer.  It is unfiltered an unpasteurized beer served from a cask.  If you’ve never tasted a true cask ale, you won’t want to miss this festival put on by SweetWater Brewing Company.  Come taste 90 unique casks from 90 unique guest brewers. Tickets cost $35 for one of the best beer festivals of the year.

2nd Annual Suwanee American Craft Beer Festival – March 31, 2012 – Suwanee, GA:  This craft beer festival was a major hit in 2011.  This year, it looks like it’s going to be even bigger and better than before.  Enjoy over 120 craft beers from over 40 breweries present.  Some of your favorite local breweries will be present including: Red Brick Brewing Co, Wild Heaven Craft Beers, Red Hare Brewing Co, SweetWater Brewing Co, and more.  Tickets are on sale for $35.

Classic City Brew Fest – April 15, 2012 – Athens, GA:  The Classic City Brew Fest is taking place in one of the most fun cities in the South; Athens.  For $39.99, you get to sample around 250 beers.  This year there will be a special cask ale pavilion, where you can sample 15 cask ales.  The event is mostly indoors, and will take place rain or shine.

Lake Lanier Islands Music & Beer Fest – April 28, 2012 – Buford, GA:  This is the first year that Lake Lanier Islands will be bringing the folks around Atlanta the music and beer festival.  It will be full of great music, awesome food, and of course, plenty of beer.  There will be over 150 beers to sample (many breweries are from around the south.)  This festival is sure to put you in the mood for summer time at the lake.  General Admission tickets cost $36 when purchased in advance.

Get out your calendar and plan accordingly.  This spring, there are some amazing beer festivals to enjoy around Atlanta.  You won’t want to miss out on these beer fests.
