The Great Atlanta Beer Fest

August 8, 2012 By Kevin Ekmark

Looking for a great way to spend the weekend after college football kicks off? Well… If you want to know what we will be up to, we’re going to make sure we start off the season right with a good old beer festival. The Great Atlanta Beer Fest takes place at Turner Field (Home of the Braves… Home to the 1996 Olympics… Home to an awesome beer fest!) The festival includes food, live music, and hundreds of different beers from all over the country. Of course, there will be an awesome local craft beer turnout as well.

The Great Atlanta Beer Fest comes from the same guys who bring you the Atlanta Summer Beer Fest and the Atlanta Winter Beer Fest. If you have been to either, you know that these guys are strong supporters of our growing list of local breweries. The official 2012 list isn’t available, but we’re looking forward to a similar local turnout that we saw from the Atlanta Summer Beer Fest. Breweries such as SweetWater, Jailhouse, Terrapin, Red Brick Brewing Co should definitely be there. We’re also hoping to see Monday Night, Red Hare Brewing Company, and Wild Heaven as well.

And just in case you’re worried about missing UGA play Missouri, set your fears aside. There will be plenty of college football playing on the TV’s at the Chop House, not to mention the gigantic 33 foot TV in the plaza as well. When it comes down to it, this could be considered a gigantic, 5 hour long tailgate.

If you’re interested in buying tickets, it’s best to do so online. We suggest you buy sooner, rather than later.

Keep an eye out for The Trot Line staff as well.
