SweetWater 420 Fest– This is one of our favorite spring festivals, and in 2013 it’s getting even better than before! For the first year ever, 420 Fest is offering VIP tickets, which give you full weekend access, $1 beers (YES!), “premier viewing” area of the main stage, climate controlled restrooms, VIP lounge access, a hammock hideaway, one meal per day, special access to VIP drinks (with discounts), and much more. Regular tickets are $60 per day,and VIP tickets are $150 for the weekend. It’s been our experience that in most cases, it’s worth it to go for the VIP tickets. You can purchase from Xorbia here. Let your troubles wash away this weekend with a funk filled 420 Fest. Click the poster to view the line up!
Atlanta Dogwood Festival – Celebrating 77 years in 2013, the Atlanta Dogwood Festival is happening all weekend long. Sara Evans and opening act Kurt Thomas Band will be headlining the Saturday night concert at the Atlanta Dogwood Festival this year. Burnt Hickory Brewery Open House – Celebrating their one year anniversary, Burnt Hickory Brewery in Kennesaw, Georgia will be throwing an open house at their nano-brewery where you can congratulate them on a job well done and sample from 8 available brews. The open house is on Saturday (4/20/13) from 12pm to 5pm. “Free your mind, and your glass will follow”
Georgia Renaissance Festival – Don’t knock it till you try it! Imagine drinking cold beer, watching live comedy performances, eating turkey legs and basically anything you can imagine deep fried. Our advice is to go all in and dress up so you don’t stand out. Enjoy in a beautiful weekend with some good old fashioned fun with a tall ale and a fried brownie at the Georgia Renaissance Festival (runs April 13 through June 2.)
Back Up Plan
Grab a few friends, a giant blanked, some yard games, and a few growlers and head to a neighborhood park. Personally, we love anything near the Chattahoochee! After you pick up a meal for a day in the park, don’t forget to pack a cooler with some of your favorite (or soon to be) draft beers. You can locate a growler store close to home or near your destination with our Atlanta Growler Locator.
