Kevin is the Founder and Creative Director of The Trot Line. He is an Atlanta native, and works in the digital marketing world. Kevin graduated from Georgia College & State University a few years back, which is where his love for the great outdoors, the South, and Georgia was able to flourish. His college is set in the small town of Milledgeville, where it is surrounded by farm land, lakes, rivers, and woods. After college he moved back to Atlanta to enter “the real world.” Life back in the city was great, but something was missing. He made a goal for the Fall season that he would experience Georgia for everything that it was over the next three months. If he wasn’t going to a festival or event, he was in the woods hiking or hunting. After an amazing season, Kevin decided to gather some of the most well respected minds that he knows in the South to get together in order to provide a new type of publication for the everyday man and woman in the South; The Trot Line.
Andrea comes to us all the way from the Northern border, aka the Mason-Dixon Line, Washington D.C. She grew up a few miles outside of the city in the suburbs of Virginia. There, she was raised in the arts, and soon became an accomplished dancer. Andrea then moved on to North Carolina where she pursued a Fine Arts degree in Dance. She was exposed to a new South that she had never experienced in DC, and grew to appreciate it. After graduation, she joined a local professional dance company in Atlanta where she now performs. She is a city girl who is perfectly comfortable with doing a few 12 oz curls with the guys. Andrea adds her love for the arts to the site by covering local happenings, activities, food, and of course, the arts.
Spencer is the quintessential Southern boy. He is the product of die hard Georgia Bulldog parents, received a diploma from Ole Miss, and he has worked professionally for tobacco shops and businesses that cater specifically to the great outdoors. We’re not sure if he was aware of it or not when we started the site, but Spencer quickly became our tobacco and whiskey expert. He is a Southern gentleman, and damn proud of it. His expertise in the Southeast is extensive, and is second to none. He knows the South. Keep an eye out for Spencer’s blogs about Bourbon, Food, Happenings, Field Gear, Road Trips, Profiles, and probably more. He is a Southern Encyclopedia. He currently keeps up with his own site covering the South called, Life Below the Line.
