As we want to continue to bring you great content, we thought it was necessary to clear up our product review system in order to give you a clear and consistent rankings for products that we think are worthy of recognition.

We want to give you a unique ranking system that fits our brand, The Trot Line. For that reason, we are sticking to a fishing themed ranking system. Below, you will find our terms and how to compare them in layman’s terms.

It’s a Keeper – Extremely Good
Catch and Release – Fun, but not worth repeating
Throw It Back – Not worth your time or money

Our review philosophy is centered behind delivering positive information about products and businesses that we love. For the most part, you will not see negative reviews from The Trot Line. Our mission is to support small, Southern businesses that are delivering amazing products; not to slam the ones who are missing the mark. We believe that this positive, straight forward approach to product/business reviews is the best way to lift up those who deserve to be noticed.
